I'm happy to announce that Pragmatic Project Automation went out to reviewers on Monday.

I gotta say, writing in this style and format was both fun and refreshing. For starters, working with Dave and Andy has been a real pleasure and I'm proud to call them my publishers. In addition to all the personal support, the toolset support they built was a dream for a programmer like me. When I "build" the book (make book.pdf), I get a PDF typeset for the printer. All the example scripts and code snippets are weaved in from working files when the book is built so that everything is always in sync. Getting this quick and continuous feedback was invaluable.

So not only is the book about automation, it also benefits from good automation. Being able to consistently and repeatedly build the book meant I had more time to actually focus on writing. In turn, the whole process is streamlined without sacrificing quality. And all that means you get this book sooner rather than later!
